Deodorant tends to be one of those personal hygiene products where you buy whatever smells nice from a brand who advertised with your favorite celebrity. At least that’s what my thought process was when buying deodorant at the store.  However, when I started to experience skin irritation in my underarms, I realized I needed to think about what my deodorant was made of and what was causing my skin to react. Not to mention, commercial deodorant contributes to a lot of single-use plastic that I really wanted to eliminate out of my lifestyle. It’s mid-October and fall is in full bloom! The change of the season ignites the desire to decorate for the upcoming holidays. Pick a Straw!

Pick a straw, any straw! Well should you really pick any straw? You’ve probably already heard about how bad plastic straws are for our environment, but there are so many reusable straws available on the market, it can be hard to choose! To make it easy, I thought I’d break down why you should avoid using plastic and the variety of reusable straws that you can find.    Why are Plastic Straws so Bad?  A few years ago, a video of a turtle with a plastic straw stuck in its nose went viral on the internet.
